Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alpharetta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I paid $12 for this order of fries and three small spanakopita, and I was honestly stunned by the small portion size. The food itself was average—nothing bad, but nothing memorable enough to justify the price for the amount of food I received. I never enjoy criticizing a small, independent restaurant. If anything, I want to find something of value because I know how hard it is to keep a small business going. But for me, either the quality has to be exceptional enough to justify a higher price and smaller portions, or the portions need to be generous enough that average food still feels like a reasonable value. This didn’t meet either standard. Maybe some of the other items on the menu are better, and I can’t speak to those. But based solely on what I ordered, this was a disappointing experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing experience at Gyro Cafe! The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. The gyro was packed with tender meat and fresh toppings, and the portions were generous for the price. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. If you’re looking for delicious Mediterranean food, Gyro Cafe is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back again soon!

I think it’s finally time to write a review for this hidden gem. I’ve had the chance to try several of their new menu items over time, and I can confidently say they’ve truly perfected their recipes. Their döner and İskender are as authentic as it gets. The balance between the bread and the meat is spot on, and every bite feels carefully crafted. What really stood out to me is the attention to detail. Even something as simple as the onions inside the sandwich are perfectly seasoned and herbed, adding another layer of flavor that you don’t usually find. It’s those small touches that make a big difference. The İskender is just as impressive. The combination of yogurt and butter is rich, flavorful, and exactly how it should be. It genuinely feels like you’re eating this dish in Turkey. And honestly, I still can’t believe we finally have this level of authentic Turkish döner here in metro Atlanta. If you’re ordering, I highly recommend trying the döner in sandwich bread. It’s my personal favorite and, in my opinion, even better than the lavash wrap. That said, if you prefer lavash, they do that exceptionally well too. Huge thanks to the team for bringing this incredible taste to

We wanted to love this place and after every bite I tried to tell myself it isn’t that bad… no, no, it is not bad at all. But I just couldn’t do it. The food is just sub par. Nothing in this restaurant seems fresh. I noticed some other reviewers mention this same thing. We suspect the hummus had actually gone bad, it had a sharp tangy (not like lemon) taste, we couldn’t even eat it. Spanakopita was super greasy (see pictures) The gyro slices were pre cut and stale. Although the Greek salad was in fact fresh, it was underwhelming both from portion size and from ingredient perspective for a $10 entree. The grilled chicken was cooked on a griddle fresh to order, but the taste was mediocre. Do not expect the truely grilled taste. I really tried to like this restaurant, but there is too much to overlook and fix for us to give it another try. I hope they have a step change in quality and make this place what it truly can be with care and pride.
